Model Market

in a nutshell

The creation of cult street food curators Street Feast, Model Market is a haven for foodies who like their street food with a side serving of fun. Located in Lewisham in South East London every Friday and Saturday from 5pm-1am, this is Street Feast’s latest opening offering, with a real party atmosphere and a whole lot of amazing food to tuck into in this super sociable space.

Giving visitors the opportunity to "eat the world without leaving Zone 2", Model Market is home to 15 fantastic vendors, serving everything from twisted Indian street food, the best steamed buns this side of Taiwan, moreish Mexican tastiness and legendary barbeque fare. For those in need of a tipple or two, Model Market boast five distinct bars, including the rooftop Lewisham High Line and "wine and vinyl" bar Winyl.

about the market

Whether you’re hungry, thirsty or simply in search of a great night out, Model Market has been curated to ensure all of your boxes are well and truly ticked. According to the Street Feast team: "We’ve got your sunshine drinking sorted. Take a bar safari around our five watering holes - start with a giant festival-sized cocktail at Rotary Bar, grab an Uber Melon at the Rum Shack to enjoy on the Lewisham Beach, shimmy to the Slushy Bar for a Tequila Colada, and soak up the sun on the Lewisham High Line with an icy-cold beer. Finish at Winyl for breaks, grapes and grooves until 1am".

Your foodie requirements are equally well in hand. Rola Wala’s contemporary Indian street food is a must-try of their market, particularly their signature dish which includes: "Banging Chicken tikka on a tidy little 6-inch Naan roll - loaded with pickles, herbs, lively mango chutney, lemon juice, and crunchy chickpea noodles".

For a serious dose of meat, covered in goodness and served with scrumptious sides, keep your eyes peeled for the return of Mother Flipper’s "flippin’ tasty homemade burgers" and for afters head directed for the South East Cakery’s frankly insane Bronuts AKA "Bruvnuts - brownie-stuffed donut balls, served hot with double chocolate ganache & crushed honeycomb".
